EVENTS

The Premiere event of the Vancouver Island Chapter of the ATHS is our Truck Show held on the grounds of the British Columbia Forest Discovery Center, in Duncan, BC. The Show this year (2024) is held on July 13th from 10am to 4pm. Trucks can start to register starting at 7:30 am. All trucks are welcome. You will see a great variety of trucks, from antique, to the latest innovations in trucking, and everything in-between. Come and appreciate the restorations of some of the older trucks and talk to the owners to learn the history of some of these classics. Trucks and trucking have played a key part in the development of our Province and its economy, and it continues to this day. Many of the trucks you will see are working trucks and the owners will have spent hours washing and detailing them for the Show. Many are now retired but look as good as the day they were built, showing the pride of the drivers in their rig.

There is Food available on site and plenty to see and do for the whole family. Investigate the old logging equipment, the Bunk houses, ride the Steam Train, and learn more about our Forest Industry Heritage.
